Made possible by a generous grant from the Charlevoix County Community Foundation, Phase II of the Jordan Art Walk includes the “Artist In Residence” Program. Renowned sculptor and instructor at the Industrial Arts Institute, Ann Gildner of Onaway, Michigan is presently working with East Jordan Middle High School welding class students and their instructor Dave Muladore.
The class is currently making their class project under Ann’s guidance and assistance. Gildner travels to East Jordan once a month to work with the students. They work on the project throughout the month with their teacher Dave Muladore. A 1500 pound Trumpeter Swan will be delivered to a location near the Jordan River and unveiled at the June 15th ceremony. The nesting swan will be a permanent display in the East Jordan community once known as “Swan City”.
